Hinsdale Police Designate Secure Meet-Up Spot For Online Marketplace Transactions
The foyer of the Hinsdale Police Department is now a designated meet-up spot for secure online transactions.
HINSDALE, IL — The Hinsdale Police Department has designated the department foyer as a meet-up spot for secure transactions between buyers and sellers from online marketplaces. According to a post on the department's Facebook page, the foyer is well-lit and under surveillance, so two strangers will not need to meet at a home or residence.
The department said in the post that a public space will help deter criminal activity or intent during online sale transactions.
