Hinsdale Police Give 101 Seat Belt Tickets During Special Enforcement
The Hinsdale Police Department announces Memorial Day "Click It Or Ticket" and "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" results.

The Hinsdale Police Department joined forces with other state and local law enforcement and highway safety partners in the Illinois Memorial Day campaign.
During the campaign, the Hinsdale Police Department issued:
- 101 seatbelt citations
- 26 citations for speed violations
- 2 citations for driving with a suspended license
- 1 citation for operating an uninsured motor vehicle
- 26 citations for cell phone use while driving,
- 1 driver for driving under the influence of alcohol
- 1 citation for possession of cannabis
- 1 citation for unlawful consumption of alcohol by persons under 21 years of age
- 14 citations for other violations to the Illinois Vehicle Code.
The campaign featured high visibility enforcement, a strategic media campaign and additional enforcement activity, according to a news release.

This law enforcement crackdown was funded by federal traffic safety grants through IDOT’s Division of Traffic Safety and is part of the statewide “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” and “Click It or Ticket” campaigns.
