Hinsdale Police Reports: DUI, Hit and Run, Theft
Hinsdale Police Department reported crimes through May 26.

Victor Manuel Ibarra-Ibarra, age 32 of the 6600 block of Pershing Road, Stickney, was stopped May 20 for speeding and improper lane use in the 500 block of East 55th Street, according to Hinsdale police. He had a failure to appear warrant out of Livingston County, police reported, and he appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. He refused testing and was charged with speeding, improper lane use, operating an uninsured vehicle, driving while license suspended and drunken driving, police reported.
Someone reported an older male driving a red SUV or pickup truck hit her car May 22 while backing up while she was waiting for a parking space in the 500 block of East Ogden, according to Hinsdale police. The man left the area without stopping to exchange information.

Someone entered a parked car May 22 at Hinsdale Hospital and stole a GPS and prescription medication, according to Hinsdale police. The car’s owner believes the car was unlocked at the time of the theft.
Someone stole items from a patient’s closet between May 9 and 22 at Manor Care, according to Hinsdale police. The patient’s daughter was told that the items were returned to the store where they were purchased and the suspect was given an in-store gift card for $88.77, police reported.

Someone tried to leave Whole Foods on East Ogden on May 24 without paying for items valued at $147.11, according to Hinsdale police. The loss prevention agent confronted the thief in the parking lot. The thief tried to punch the agent and ran away, police reported.
An envelope containing $400 cash was taken between May 23 and 24 from an office of Hinsdale News Agency on East Hinsdale Avenue, according to Hinsdale police. Employees reported a suspicious person was in the area during the time of the theft.
