Hinsdale Police Reports: Gas Theft, Computer Hack, DUI

Someone pumped $67.22-worth of gas April 17 at 7:24 p.m. at a Mobil on West Chicago Avenue and didn’t pay for it, according to Hinsdale police. The thief is described as a white female driving a silver SUV, police reported.
Someone reported earrings were stolen between May 22 and June 4 from a dresser drawer belonging to a resident of ManorCare, according to Hinsdale police.

A 6-foot-by-10-foot window pane at Kelsey Resale Boutique on South Washington Street was broken between June 5 and 6, according to Hinsdale police.
Someone claiming to be a representative from Dell Computers gained remote access to a victim’s computer, according to Hinsdale police. The victim reported none of her accounts had been tampered with.

Someone took a cab from Chicago to Hinsdale on June 7 at 12:45 a.m. and ran away without paying for the fare, according to Hinsdale police. The fare totaled $68. The suspect is described as a white man in his 20s, about 5 feet 6 inches tall with a thin build.
Nadia Hernandez, age 24 of Green Briar Lane, Warrenville, was stopped for speeding and improper lane use June 7 at Ogden Avenue and County Line Road, according to Hinsdale police. She seemed to be under the influence of alcohol. She submitted to testing that showed she was over the legal limit, and an open alcohol container was found under the driver’s seat. She was charged with DUI, DUI more than 0.08, speeding, improper lane use and illegal transportation of alcohol, police reported.
A driver rear-ended a car and fled the scene June 6 in the 900 block of North York Road, according to Hinsdale police. The victim got the license plate number and described the suspect as a man, about 18 to 20 years old wearing a black hat. The car was a black Chevrolet with flour doors.
