Hinsdale Police Reports: Hit and Run, Mischievous Conduct, DUI

Hinsdale Police Department reported crimes through Aug. 11

A hit-and-run crash was reported Aug. 4 at 3rd Street and County Line Road, according to Hinsdale police. The suspect left the scene of the crash after damaging a tree and a front lawn in the 600 block of East Sixth. The driver fled the area eastbound on 55th Street from County Line Road. Indian Head Park police found the driver and followed her to her home. She ran inside and refused to come out or speak to police. The case is pending further investigation.

Three white males between the ages of 12 and 15 wearing rollerblades rang a doorbell and threw a firecracker at the door Aug. 4 in the 100 block of South Elm Street, according to Hinsdale police.

Eggs were thrown at houses between Aug. 4 and 5 in the 400 block of West North and the 500 block of West Hickory, according to Hinsdale police. Eggs were thrown at a car parked in the 400 block of West North. The unlocked car was entered and an egg was thrown inside the car.

A known person was in possession of a substance that field tested positive for heroin Aug. 7 at Hinsdale Hospital, according to Hinsdale police. The case is pending, and the person was checked in as a patient at the hospital.

Lizette R Guillen, age 18 of the 800 block of North Wolf Road, Melrose Park, was arrested Aug. 9 and charged with drunken driving and failure to reduce speed in a crash, according to Hinsdale police.

Emily L Hudson, age 24 of the 200 block of Brownell Avenue, Thornton, was arrested Aug. 7 at Ogden Avenue and Oak Street. She was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, possession of cannabis less than 30 grams, possession of drug equipment, speeding and improper lane use, according to Hinsdale police.

A known person backed his truck into another car and fled the scene Aug. 10 at Ogden Avenue and Oak Street, according to Hinsdale police. Oak Brook police tried to stop him but he fled. He was eventually stopped by Hinsdale police, and charges are pending.

Someone tried to open credit card accounts March 9 and Aug. 4 using a victim’s identity, according to Hinsdale police. The victim received a collection notice saying he owed $4,382.40.
