Hinsdale Police Reports: Property Damage, Hit and Run, Identity Theft
Hinsdale Police Department reported crimes through May 5.

Four male juveniles were arrested April 26 for criminal damage to property, according to Hinsdale police. Three are from Clarendon Hills and one is from Hinsdale. One is 15 years old, two is 14 and one is 13, police reported. They were seen entering the Institute of Basic Life Principles on North Madison Street, where they spray painted walls, damaged a door and discharged fire extinguishers, police reported. The juveniles were released to parents and referred to peer jury.
Someone hit a parked car at 6 p.m. April 29 in the Hinsdale Central High School parking lot, damaging the bumper, according to Hinsdale police.

The driver of a green SUV hit a car and fled the scene at 6:26 p.m. April 28 at 120 E Ogden Avenue, according to Hinsdale police. There were no injuries.
Someone used a victim’s identity to open a credit card and make fraudulent purchases between April 19 and 22, according to Hinsdale police. Purchases were made in Nevada and California, totaling $4,925.33.

Someone used a victim’s identity to file a fraudulent tax return April 28, according to Hinsdale police.
Someone opened a credit card and used a victim’s information April 4 without her permission, according to Hinsdale police.

Merilynn L Nagle, age 52 of the 500 block of South Ashland Avenue, La Grange, was stopped April 29 for driving on an unsafe tire in the 600 block of South County Line Road, according to Hinsdale police. She appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, and testing determined she was over the legal limit, police reported. Nagle was charged and released to appear in court.
Someone hit a victim’s parked car and damaged the bumper May 4 at First Street and Village Place, according to Hinsdale police.
