Hinsdale Police Reports: Scratched Cars, DUI, Package Theft
Hinsdale Police Department reported crimes through Sept. 1

A man riding a motorcycle sped away from a police officer who was trying to pull him over for no registration Aug. 25 at 55th Street and Madison Street, according to Hinsdale police. The driver is described as a white man in his early 20s, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, 150 to 160 pounds with longer dirty blond hair. He was driving a dark sport bike, police reported.
Someone used a sharp object to scratch a car between Aug. 26 and 27 while it was parked in an underground garage on Spinning Wheel Road, according to Hinsdale police.

Someone reported a package was stolen Aug. 20 from a front porch in the 300 block of East 6th Street, according to Hinsdale police. The package was valued at $150.
Someone reportedly stole a violin and case between July 17 and Aug. 18 from a garage in the 5800 block of Giddings Avenue, according to Hinsdale police. There were no signs of forced entry, and the garage was left open during a construction project. The violin, bow and case were valued at $3,209.

Eric Gonzales, age 44 of the 200 block of Rodgers Court, Willowbrook, was arrested Aug. 28 and charged with drunken driving, speeding and improper lane use, according to Hinsdale police. He was stopped at Garfield Avenue and 60th Street, and he refused testing to determine his blood alcohol level. He was charged and released to appear in court.
A man reported someone he knows scratched his car between Aug. 29 and 30 after a verbal fight, according to Hinsdale police. The car was parked outside the man’s house in the 600 block of Mills Street.
