Hinsdale Police Reports: Underage Drinking, Theft, Property Damage, Identity Theft

Hinsdale Police Department reported crimes through April 21.

A 15-year-old male of Clarendon Hills and a 16-year-old male of Clarendon Hills were reportedly drinking alcohol at 12:56 p.m. April 7 in the cafeteria of Hinsdale Central High School, according to Hinsdale police. They were each arrested and charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by minor, police reported.

Two students reported sandals and boots were taken April 10 from the girls’ locker room at Hinsdale Central High School, according to Hinsdale police. A 17-year-old female of Clarendon Hills was charged with theft, police reported.

A student reported a missing cell phone near the auditorium of Hinsdale Central High School, according to Hinsdale police. Miguel Diaz, age 38 of the 6700 block of Alpine Lane, Westmont, was charged with the theft, police reported. He is a custodian for the school.

Someone damaged an offering box between April 10 and 13 inside St. Isaacs Church, according to Hinsdale police. No money or property was taken, police reported.

Someone filed a tax return April 16 using a victim’s information, according to Hinsdale police.

Three employees of Eve Assisted Living on North Washington are suspected of receiving checks from residents of the facility, according to Hinsdale police.

Someone opened a line of credit for a clothing store April 15 using a victim’s information, according to Hinsdale police. The person also made unauthorized purchases of $926 to the victim’s credit card.

Someone was seen April 19 damaging a car with a key in the 700 block of North York, according to Hinsdale police.

Someone stole an envelope from a purse April 20 at ManorCare on West Ogden, according to Hinsdale police. The value of stolen items is around $160, police reported.

Someone stole an outdoor floor mat April 13 from the 300 block of North Monroe, according to Hinsdale police. The mat was valued at $250.
