Hinsdale Police Reports: Underage Drinking, Tire Theft, Keyed Car
Hinsdale Police Department reported crimes through Aug. 18.

Someone used a victim’s identity to open three credit card accounts between Jan. 1 and Aug. 12, according to Hinsdale police. The victim received bills on the fraudulent accounts totaling about $7,400.
Someone used a victim’s identity to open two credit card accounts between Jan. 1 and May 1, according to Hinsdale police. The balance on the accounts was $997.

An employee at Bill Jacobs Land Rover reported tires went missing between Aug. 11 and 12 from cars on the Land Rover lot, according to Hinsdale police. Four cars were found missing all four tires.
Someone driving a small white hatchback hit a car Aug. 13 at York Road and Ogden Avenue and drove away, according to Hinsdale police.

Someone keyed a parked car between Aug. 9 and 11 in an underground parking garage on Spinning Wheel Road, according to Hinsdale police.
William P Stampfl, age 18 of the 1500 block of Newberry Avenue, LaGrange Park, was arrested Aug. 14 and charged with underage drinking, according to Hinsdale police. He was seen to be drunk at KLM Park while police were investigating the picnic area. He was charged and released to appear in court.
Someone reported damage to her car that might have happened between July 22 and 23 in the 10 block of North Monroe, according to Hinsdale police. She found several pry marks on her passenger side door.
Robert A Schulz, age 51 of the 800 block of South Stough Street, Hinsdale, was arrested Aug. 17 and charged with drunken driving and parking where prohibited, according to Hinsdale police. Police were sent for a well-being check on a car pulled to the side of the road with flashers on. Schulz refused BAC testing, and he was charged and released to appear in court.
Someone reported the driver of a white four-door Buick rear-ended him Aug. 12 at Route 83 and Ogden Avenue and drove away, according to Hinsdale police.
Police were sent July 28 to the 600 block of South Quincy Street for reports of an unconscious, heavily intoxicated girl, according to Hinsdale police. Two teenagers were arrested and charged with underage drinking, and one teenager was charged with allowing people under 21 to gather at a residence to drink. The heavily intoxicated girl was taken to the hospital. The teenagers were charged and released to family members.
