Hinsdale School Collects School Supplies For Children Impacted By Hurricane Harvey

Monroe School in Hinsdale will collect school supplies to send to children impacted by Hurricane Harvey.

HINSDALE, IL — A Hinsdale school is doing its part to help the families and children affected by Hurricane Harvey. Monroe Cares, a PTO Committee, is joining the relief effort in donating school supplies, as well as money for the children in the impacted areas.

Donations will be collected outside the MRC at the school located at 210 N. Madison St., in Hinsdale. You can drop off donations between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 6, as well as in the evening during Curriculum Night. Items needed include: notebooks, pencils, erasers, crayons, markers, color pencils, glue and any other extra school supplies.

The committee said they will be donating the money to the American Red Cross and school supplies will be donated to the local "School Counts" Corporation, which will transport the supplies to Houston.
