Hinsdale Summer Event Kick Off!

Two Great Events Take Over Burlington Park Next Week (Hinsdale) - This year, Uniquely Thursdays and the Hinsdale Fine Arts Festival both take over Burlington Park in the second week of June.

Burlington Park is located between Garfield and Washington, just off Chicago Avenue. Uniquely Thursdays kicks off for the 13th consecutive year, and June 13-14th is the 42nd annual Fine Arts Festival, both brought to you by the Hinsdale Chamber of Commerce. On Thursday, June 11th Uniquely Thursdays is once again presented by Ettleson Auto Group. Over the course of 10 weeks, the Chamber will present 10 of the best local bands Chicago has to offer. The event begins at 6 pm each Thursday and features a beer and wine tent sponsored by Leinenkugel, Miller lite and Gnarly Head Wines.

There will be table sponsors each week with local businesses doing giveaways and catering to a family friendly environment. Also on the street will be eight food vendors showcasing some of the best restaurants in the community. Other top sponsors include Renewal by Andersen, The Hinsdalean, The Village of Hinsdale, Normandy Remodelers, Village Sotheby’s International Realty, and Hinsdale Bank and Trust. The Hinsdale Fine Arts Festival is noted as one of the top juried art shows in the Chicagoland area. Presenting sponsors include Renewal by Andersen, Peroni Beer, Dupage Medical Group, WTMX, and the Hinsdalean Newspaper.

Over 130 juried artists from across the United States will exhibit and sell works of art in painting, jewelry, photography, ceramics, sculpture, mixed media, and fiber arts. All artwork is original and has been created by the exhibiting artists. A designated area during the Fine Arts show will spotlight Kids Activities sponsored by The Community House, Dupage Medical Group and WTMX- 101.9 Radio. The Hinsdale Rotary and other food and beverage vendors will be on site as well.

Admission to the event is also free and takes place from 10 am – 5 pm both days. Awards will be presented to artists Saturday afternoon.
