Hinsdale Woman Arrested In Domestic: Cops

In another case, a man was charged with aggravated fleeing and eluding an officer, police said.

HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale police released their latest blotter Wednesday. Here is information from the police reports:

Domestic battery

  • A 47-year-old woman who lives in the 600 block of West 56th Street in Hinsdale was arrested about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 1100 block of Indian Trail Road on charges of domestic battery and resisting a police officer. She made contact of an "insulting or provoking nature" with the victim, police said. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

  • Malik O. Daghash, 23, of Orland Park, was arrested about 9:30 p.m. Thursday at Route 83 and 55th Street on charges of felony aggravated fleeing and eluding a police officer, speeding, improper lane use and driving with expired license plates. He was arrested after driving on a rim and striking a curb at 31st Street and Jorie Boulevard in Oak Brook. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Theft

  • A tool bag and tools were stolen about 10 a.m. Wednesday near Grant and Maple streets. The bag had been with some scrap pieces of material in the parkway. The case is pending.

DUI

  • A 36-year-old Chicago woman was arrested about 2 a.m. Thursday at Ogden Avenue and Route 83 on charges of DUI, improper lane use, failure to signal lane changes, driving an uninsured car, and illegal stopping, standing or parking. She refused to be tested for her blood-alcohol level. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • A 47-year-old Westmont man was arrested about 1 a.m. on New Year's Day in the Kensington School parking lot, 540 W. Ogden Ave., on a DUI charge. He refused to be tested for his blood-alcohol level. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • A 34-year-old Broadview man was arrested about 3 a.m. on New Year's Day at Route 83 and 55th Street on charges of DUI, speeding and improper lane use. He refused to be tested for his blood-alcohol level. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
