HINSDALE, IL – A Hinsdale woman told officers a couple of weeks ago she wanted to pull her child out of Hinsdale Central High School, so she entered the school at least twice despite restrictions placed against her, police said.

Patch already reported the arrest of Tracey F. Williams, 53, on a misdemeanor charge of trespassing in a school zone. On Tuesday, Patch received the police report through a public records request.

About 1:30 p.m. April 26, an officer was called to Hinsdale Central because Williams had entered the main foyer unannounced, police said. This was despite the fact that Williams understood she had to get visits approved beforehand, a policy based on previous incidents, according to the report.

Williams said she wanted her child pulled from class to take care of personal business, with school staff saying she tried the same thing the day before, police said. The officer asked whether she wanted to go outside, but she did not. Then he warned that she would be arrested if she did not leave. Williams walked off the campus.

When the officer went back into the building to update administrators, security alerted them that Williams was again inside the school, the report said.

Williams told the officer she wanted to see the law about a parent getting a child out of school. She was again walked off campus.

The next night, Williams allowed officers into her apartment, where they told her she was being charged with trespassing. She refused to take the paperwork, even putting it under a squad car's windshield wiper, police said. The officers later mailed the documents.
