The resident runs into two cars before she was stopped, police said.
HINSDALE, IL — A Hinsdale woman was drunken driving last month when she crashed into a car at a local nursing home, Hinsdale police said.
Amy L. Caveney, 45, who lives in the 400 block of North Bruner Place, was charged with DUI, failing to give information after striking an unattended vehicle, failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident and having no front license plate.
Police said they were called to a hit-and-run crash about 3 p.m. Dec. 2 at ProMedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, 600 W. Ogden Ave., formerly ManorCare of Hinsdale. Officers found Caveney also crashed into another car in the 500 block of West North Street, according to a police report.

Caveney was taken to the hospital for her injuries, police said. A search warrant was issued for her blood and urine after she refused to provide a sample, the report said.
A lab report indicated Caveney was over the legal limit for alcohol, police said. Last week, she was served complaints and released to appear in court.
