Hinsdale Woman Faces 2 Domestic Battery Counts

In another case, a driver was injured in a hit-and-run crash, police said.

HINSDALE, IL – In recent days, Hinsdale police have handled cases involving domestic battery, hit-and-run crashes and a DUI. Here is information from the latest reports:

Domestic battery

  • A 42-year-old Hinsdale woman who lives in the 5500 block of South Madison Street was arrested about noon Saturday at her house on two domestic battery counts. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

  • The driver of a pickup truck struck a car about 6 p.m. Wednesday at Ogden Avenue and Monroe Street. The driver fled. The victim reported injuries from the crash.
  • A semitruck driver damaged two traffic signal poles about 6 p.m. Jan. 13 at 55th Street and County Line Road. The driver then left.

DUI

  • A 45-year-old Chicago woman was arrested about 9 p.m. Jan. 16 at Ogden Avenue and Oak Street on charges of DUI and leaving the scene of an accident involving property damage. Police said she crashed her car into a utility pole and tried to drive away. She refused testing to determine her blood-alcohol content. She was given a court date and then released.
