Hinsdale's Dr. Brian Forsythe Joins The Chicago Blitz

Dr. Brian Forsythe of Hinsdale has been named the Official Team Physician for the Chicago Blitz indoor football club. Dr. Forsythe is a board certified sports medicine, shoulder, knee and elbow orthopedic surgeon at Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush and is perfectly suited to take care of any injuries that might occur on or off the field.

Dr. Forsythe is no stranger to working with sports teams: he is currently a team physician for the Chicago White Sox (MLB), Chicago Bulls (NBA), and U.S. Soccer. In the past, he worked with the New England Revolution Soccer (MLS) and has provided game coverage for numerous high schools and universities. Dr. Forsythe also has experience on the field having played Division 1 soccer at Brown University and still actively plays.

The Chicago Blitz’s season runs through May with all home games played at the Odeum in Villa Park. A sports event for the entire family, the Blitz is an indoor pro football organization, which prides itself on its affordable prices and guaranteed entertainment. Last year, the Blitz barely missed the playoffs with a 7-3 record in The Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL). Its league includes the Northern Kentucky River Monsters, the Chicago Assassins, the Detroit Thunder and the Saginaw Sting.

About Dr. Brian Forsythe

Dr. Forsythe is a board certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in minimally invasive techniques in sports medicine, arthroscopic shoulder, knee and elbow surgery, as well as shoulder replacement surgery. After graduating from medical school at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Forsythe pursued his surgical training at the Harvard Combined Orthopedic Surgical Residency Program. He then completed subspecialty training in shoulder and sports medicine surgery at the world-renowned University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Center for Sports Medicine. Dr. Forsythe is currently a team physician for the Chicago White Sox (MLB) and Chicago Bulls (NBA). He is also a team physician for U.S. Soccer, which involves international competitions and travel.
