Hit-And-Run, DUI: Hinsdale Cops

A "known suspect" is believed to have committed a hit-and-run at a local gas station, authorities said.

HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale police released their latest blotter Wednesday. Here is information from the reports:

Hit-and-run

  • A hit-and-run crash occurred about 7:30 p.m. Monday at Shell gas station, 210 E. Ogden Ave. A man backed his car into another. Police referred to the man as a "known suspect."

DUI

  • A 41-year-old Chicago man was arrested about 11:30 p.m. Monday at Garfield Avenue and 55th Street on charges of DUI, improper lane use, driving an uninsured car, and transportation or possession of alcohol by a driver. The man had an open bottle of alcohol. He refused testing to determine his blood-alcohol content. He was released and given a date to appear in court.

Identity theft

  • A resident in the 400 block of South Thurlow Street told police Sunday that he received a tax form for an income account that was created fraudulently using his identity. The case is pending.
  • A resident in the 800 block of South Clay Street told police March 27 that someone used the resident's credit card information to make fraudulent purchases.
