Hit-And-Runs, DUI: Hinsdale Cops
One of the hit-and-run crashes involved injuries, police say.
HINSDALE, IL — Hinsdale police released their latest blotter. Here is information from the reports:
- A hit-and-run crash happened about 4:30 p.m. at northbound Route 83 and 55th Street. A known suspect left the scene of a traffic crash with injuries.
- A hit-and-run accident happened between 7 a.m. and noon Friday in the 5600 block of South Elm Street. The victim said her car was hit while parked in the street. The case is pending.
- Liliana Ortiz, 27, of Chicago, was arrested about 2 a.m. Sunday in the 500 block of East Ogden Avenue on charges of DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol, speeding and expired registration. An open container of a malt alcoholic beverage was found in the car. She submitted to testing that indicated she was over the legal limit. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
- Jorge Cortez, 34, of Waukegan, was cited about 10:30 p.m. Thursday in the 400 block of East Ogden Avenue on charges of driving with a suspended license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
- Randall T. Szatkowski, 27, of Downers Grove, was arrested about 12:30 a.m. Friday on a warrant. He was a passenger in a car that was stopped for an equipment violation. He was released on bond.
