HMS 6th graders qualify for National History Bee

Competition set for June 1 & 2 in Atlanta

Three Hinsdale Middle School 6th graders qualified for the National History Bee with outstanding performances at regionals in Chicago during Spring Break.

Analise Burns, Ethan Gronlund, and Anya Raman will head to Atlanta June 1 and 2 to compete against other students from throughout the country.

Sponsored by Academic Competitions Enterprises, the three students qualified for regionals by taking an on-line exam at HMS. The regional finals featured a fast-paced interactive buzzer format to determine who qualified for Nationals where all students will participate in a series of exam and buzzer rounds on day one to see which students advance to additional buzzer rounds on day two.
