HMS Jazz Ensemble state-bound after strong district performance

The Hinsdale Middle School Jazz Ensemble earned a 1st place Division 1 rating at the Illinois Grade School Music Association’s District 7 competition March 3 in Wheaton.

The Jazz Ensemble will next compete at the state level May 5 at Indian Trail Junior High School in Addison.

Members of the Jazz Ensemble include Nilly Ads, Dalia Ahdab, Marianna Angelopolous, Sofia Antonelli, Matthew Bell, Sam Chung, Henry Flaming, Ella Folkmann, Adele Groom, Moira Hughes, James Mercurio, Andrew Posthuma, Sahan Sahgal, Eliott Smith, Zuzanna Sokolowski, Olivia Suliga, Sacheen Upadhye, Walter Waverly, Anna Wentling and Joshua Yan.
