Hospital Assault, Credit Card Fraud: Hinsdale Cops

A person scratched a nurse at Hinsdale hospital, police say.

HINSDALE, IL — In the last week, Hinsdale police answered calls involving a hospital assault, credit card fraud, drug possession and fraudulent unemployment claims. Here is information from the police reports:

  • A person scratched a registered nurse on the arms breaking the skin while the nurse was performing her duties about 6 p.m. Sunday at the Hinsdale hospital, 120 N. Oak St. The case is pending. It was listed as an aggravated battery.
  • Someone used the credit card information of a resident in the 300 block of South Vine Street to buy designer shoes for $2,000. The incident was reported Nov. 17.
  • Jacquelyn R. Kozlov, 31, of Naperville, was cited shortly before 8 a.m. Friday at 55th and Monroe streets on charges of driving with a suspended license and operating a vehicle with a suspended registration. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Police found a suspect in possession of a controlled substance in pill form Sunday at Hinsdale Avenue and Clay Street. Charges are pending lab results.
  • A political sign was stolen overnight Sunday in the 400 block of Fuller Road. The police report did not indicate the message on the sign.
  • Someone forged three checks of a resident in the 10 block of Spinning Wheel Road between Oct. 26 and Nov. 21.
  • A woman used a credit card that did not belong to her Wednesday at Velvet Touch Pet Salon, 110 W. Chestnut St. The woman bought services totaling $60 and a collar for $21.59.
  • In the last week, Hinsdale police took 18 reports of fraudulent unemployment claims.
