Hospital Assault, Stolen Signs: Hinsdale Cops
Willowbrook woman punches nurse at Hinsdale hospital, police say.
HINSDALE, IL — In recent days, Hinsdale police said they handled calls involving an assault on a nurse, stolen political campaign signs, a woman caught with marijuana and car burglaries. Here is information from the latest police reports:
Assault
- Catherine Mary Kluser, 27, of Willowbrook, was arrested about 6 p.m. Oct. 6 at the Hinsdale hospital, 120 N. Oak St., on a charge of aggravated battery. She is accused of grabbing and punching a nurse who was performing her duties. Kluser was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Political signs stolen

- A political sign was stolen overnight Friday from a front yard in the 300 block of West 57th Street was stolen. The report did not indicate the sign's message. But Hinsdale police recently released information to Patch about which signs were being stolen in the last couple of weeks.
- A political sign was stolen overnight Friday in the 5600 block of South Garfield Avenue. A mailbox was also damaged. The report did not indicate the sign's message.
- A political sign was stolen about 8:30 p.m. Sunday in the 500 block of North Clay Street. The report did not indicate the sign's message.
Drugs
- Jadyn C. Truman, 21, of Burr Ridge, was cited at 11 p.m. Oct. 6 at Route 83 and 55th St. on charges of possession of 30 to 100 grams of marijuana and improper lane use. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
Car burglaries

- A car parked in a driveway in the 300 block of Bonnie Brae Road was burglarized between 2 a.m. and 10 a.m. Friday. The car was rummaged through, but nothing appeared to be missing.
- A car in the 10 block of East Ayres Avenue was burglarized early the morning of Oct. 6. A garage door opener was stolen.
DUI
- Bruce W. Airhart, 63, of Downers Grove, was arrested about 11:30 p.m. Oct. 7 at Route 83 and 55th Street on charges of DUI, failure to signal when required and speeding. He submitted to testing that indicated he was over the legal limit. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
Driving violations
- Marco Pico, 22, of Lyons, was cited shortly before 11 a.m. Sunday in the 400 block of East Ogden Avenue on charges of driving with a suspended license, operating an uninsured vehicle and loud excessive noise caused by a muffler. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
- Angelique Perez, 39, of Chicago, was cited about 8 p.m. Oct. 7 at Route 83 and Ogden Avenue on a charge of driving with a suspended license. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
