House Burglary, DUIs: Hinsdale Cops

Someone forced entry to the front door of the house, police said.

HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale police released their latest blotter Monday. Here is information from the reports:

Burglary

  • A house in the 900 block of South Quincy was burglarized between noon New Year's Eve and 8 p.m. Friday. Someone forced entry to the first door. Nothing was reported missing. The case is pending.

DUIs

  • Roberto Flores, 54, of Westmont, was arrested about 1:30 a.m. New Year's Day on a charge of DUI. Police said Flores had fallen asleep at the wheel. He submitted to testing that indicated he was over the legal limit. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Neil Jay Thomas, 61, of Springfield, was arrested about 11 p.m. Saturday at Eighth and Washington streets on charges of DUI and failure to signal. He refused to take a breath test. He was released and given a date to appear in court.

Identity theft

  • A resident in the 600 block of West Hickory Street told police Wednesday that suspects fraudulently gained access to the resident's banking and PayPal accounts. The case is pending.
