How to Resolve Conflicts Peacefully in Your Home and Community
Union Church of Hinsdale welcomes Reverend Bill Blank for workshop

The Reverend Bill Blank, Associate Director of the Lombard Mennonite Peace Center will present a two-afternoon workshop, How to Resolve Conflicts Peacefully in Your Home and Community, at Union Church of Hinsdale on Sunday, September 18th, and Sunday, September 25th, 1 pm – 4 pm each day.
Conflict is an inevitable, normal part of life—we all experience it in our families, work places, communities and in the wider world. This workshop will teach basic skills that will help participants manage conflicts in a healthier manner. Reverend Blank will also share strategies for prevention of destructive conflicts.

- The nature and role of conflict
- Self-assessment: understanding and improving your own conflict response style
- How to be effective when people are angry
This workshop, which is open to the public, would benefit anyone interested in improving their ability to handle conflict effectively, whether in the church, the home, the workplace, or the community.
Reverend Blank will also be guest speaker at the 10:00 am worship service at Union Church on Sunday, September 11th. The public is cordially invited.

Reverend Bill Blank joined Lombard Mennonite Peace Center staff in 2014. He is an ordained minister in the Mennonite Church and has served as a pastor and interim pastor. He has participated in numerous LMPC training events specializing in mediation and conflict resolution.
