Jack-Knifed Truck Blocks 3 Lanes On I-294 Near 55th Street
Only one lane of traffic was getting by on northbound I-294 near 55th Street.
HINSDALE, IL - Morning rush hour traffic on northbound I-294 near 55th Street in Hinsdale is just getting by. A multi-vehicle crash that involved two semi-trucks and two cars near Hinsdale and La Grange has closed three of the four lanes. As of 8 a.m., traffic was progressing only in the furthest right lane according to traffic reports on Twitter.
Three of the wrecked cars were moved to the shoulders, according to Bill West. The fourth, a semi-truck, was jack-knifed and blocked the three lanes.
An estimated opening time for the shutdown lanes was not immediately known, nor was it known if the crash caused any injuries to those in the four vehicles involved.
