Jewelry Stolen In Hinsdale Burglary: Police

The suspect entered the house through a first-floor window, police said.

HINSDALE, IL — A house was burglarized between 12:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Friday in the 600 block of Woodside Avenue. An suspect entered the home through a first-floor window. Bracelets, necklaces, rings, earrings and a watch were missing.

Here is more information from the Hinsdale Police Department's latest blotter:

  • Vanessa Cuevas, 33, of Villa Park, was arrested about 2:30 a.m. Feb. 25 at Ogden Avenue and Madison Street on charges of driving with a suspended license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • A hit-and-run accident took place about 12:30 p.m. Feb. 28 at Ogden Avenue and Monroe Street. The victim said a suspect driving a blue sedan truck struck the victim's car and drove away without stopping.
  • Brittany M. Smith, 30, of Chicago, was arrested about 4:30 p.m. March 1 in the 900 block of West Ogden Avenue on charges of driving with a suspended license and operating an uninsured vehicle. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • An intoxicated patient hit a security officer about 11:30 a.m. March 2 at Amita Health Adventist Medical Center Hinsdale, 120 N. Oak St. An arrest is pending the patient's release from the hospital.
