Job Fair Planned This Friday At Darien SportsPlex
State lawmakers and Indian Prairie Library team up to host free job fair this Friday, Aug. 8. Over 100 area employers confirmed.

Are you looking for a job or a new career? State Senator Christine Radogno, State Representative Jim Durkin and the Indian Prairie Library District invite you to participate in their FREE Jobs Fair on Friday, August 8.
“We have nearly 100 employers who will be on hand to meet with you about potential job opportunities,” Rep. Durkin said. “This is a great opportunity to meet face-to-face with several potential employers all under one roof. Dress for an interview and don’t forget to bring plenty of copies of your resume.”
Sen. Radogno said that Illinois unemployment rates are still higher than the national average and that of surrounding states.

“We need to make a concerted effort to help generate job growth across our state,” she said. “This event is an opportunity for us to help match qualified candidates with dozens of employers-providing businesses and potential employees with accessible and ample resources to assist in the job search process.”
The Jobs Fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Darien Sportsplex, 451 Plainfield Road in Darien. Job seekers can also get some pointers at four, free planned workshops, including:

Area employers who’ve confirmed their attendance include Adventist Midwest Health, Advocate Health Care, Argone National Lab, Comcast, Local Boilermakers 1, College of DuPage, Fed Ex, Illinois State Police and many more.
