Several kids from the western suburbs will sleep outside on Saturday to raise awareness for families that have become homeless.

HINSDALE, IL — Several kids from the western suburbs will sleep outside on Saturday to raise awareness for families that have become homeless. According to a release, a group of 50 middle schoolers from Christ Church of Oak Brook will spend a night outside in tents and cardboard boxes. The students are trying to raise $10,000 for families who are homeless.
The event will take place on Saturday, Oct. 21 from 6 p.m. until 7 a.m. Sunday. The sleep-out will occur at Burlington Park in downtown Hinsdale. Middle School Director Steve Noble and a team of adult volunteers will supervise kids from Hinsdale, Clarendon Hills, Oak Brook, Downers Grove, Western Springs, and Lombard.
The annual Sleep Out is organized by Bridge Communities in Glen Ellyn. If you'd like to donate, you can visit Bridge Communities' website.
