Labor Day 2017: What's Closed, What's Open In Hinsdale-Clarendon Hills

HINSDALE-CLARENDON HILLS, IL — For most people, Labor Day marks the end of summer, even though the official end of summer isn't until late summer. However, by Labor Day, the kids are back in school and the relaxed summer routine is replaced.

This year, Labor Day is Monday, Sept. 4. Since Labor Day is a federal holiday, it means a day off work and no school for children, and many municipal services are also closed. Here's what will be closed in Hinsdale and Clarendon Hills:

• Clarendon Hills Village Offices closed
• Hinsdale Village Offices closed
• Hinsdale Library, closed Sunday and Monday
• Clarendon Hills Library, closed Monday
• District 181 schools, closed Monday
• Waste/garbage services, no service Monday. If a holiday falls on a Monday, service is delayed until Wednesday
