Latest Hinsdale Burglary Part Of Trend: Cops

Police notice a pattern in the break-ins over the last six weeks in town.

HINSDALE, IL — A house in the 600 block of Philippa Street in Hinsdale was burglarized Tuesday evening, police said.

According to a police news release, someone entered the front door by force. It is one of three residential burglaries and one attempted burglary in the last six weeks in the village, the release said. Police believe they are connected.

"This is part of a larger pattern of residential burglaries occurring in nearby communities over the same time period," the police said. "The burglaries tend to occur on or near dusk to homes that are dark without lights."
