Law Office Burglary, Car Theft: Hinsdale Police
Car stolen in Hinsdale was recovered in Calumet City, police say.
HINSDALE, IL — The Buikema Law Group, 15 Salt Creek Lane, was burglarized shortly after midnight April 10. A window was shattered and the office was rummaged through, police said. Stolen were a laptop valued at $1,200, a charging cable valued at $20 and a bottle of wine valued at $20.
Here is other information from the latest Hinsdale police blotter:
- A 2017 Audi Q7 parked in a driveway was stolen overnight April 9 at a house in the 300 block of West Ninth Street. The victim believed the car was locked, but the victim was unable to find the key fob. The car was found by the Calumet City Police Department.
- Hesham A. Almontesar, 21, of Dearborn, Mich., was arrested at 1 a.m. April 9 in the 600 block of West Ogden Avenue on charges of DUI (drugs), speeding more than 35 mph over the speed limit, unlawful use of marijuana by a driver, and stopping or standing on the roadway. The suspect was released and given a date to appear in court.
- A suspect forged a $4,330 check against a business account of Supreme Endodontics, 522 Chestnut, on April 6. The check was cashed at a bank in Atlanta.
- A suspect used a business credit card to make three fraudulent purchases totaling $173 at Hinsdale Eye Center, 126 W. First St., from March 29 to April 7.
- Ruben Rodriguez Jr., 24, of Burbank, was arrested about 1:30 a.m. April 8 at Sixth and Oak streets on a charge of driving with a suspended driver's licesne. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
- A hit-and-run accident happened between 6:45 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. April 9 in the parking garage at the Hinsdale hospital, 119 N. Oak St.
