Let's Rock at the Clarendon Hills Park District
Winter Session of Tot Rock and Kid Rock Classes to Begin in January
It it's Tuesday morning, it's time to "rock" at the Clarendon Hills Park District Community Center. The winter session of Tot Rock and Kid Rock Classes will begin on Tuesday, January 16 and will run through March 6. These popular activities combine music, rhythm, movement and fun and will help local children and their parents beat cabin fever on the coldest of winter days! Tot Rock will meet between 9:30 a.m. and 10:10 a.m. and is designed for children at least 12 months of age and a parent or caregiver. Each session focuses on a new educational theme that incorporates hand held instruments, play props, sensory integration, exercise, play and socialization. Kid Rock I is open to boys and girls at least two years of age and a parent or caregiver. This popular class will meet from 10:15 a.m. to 10:55 a.m. and helps to enhance fine and gross motor skills, coordination and imagination. The maracas and tambourines are very popular in this class. Kid Rock II is set to meet between 11:00 a.m. to 11:40 a.m. and is open to boys and girls ages 3-5 years of age. Children come to this program without a parent and enjoy using their imaginations and rhythm skills to rock the morning away.
