Man Crashes While Street Racing: Hinsdale Cops
Police responded after the man lost control of his car and ran into a tree, report says.
HINSDALE, IL — A Brookfield man was racing his car in Hinsdale when he got into an accident more than a week ago, police said.
Ahmad N. Abdeldeen, 20, of Brookfield, was charged with street racing, reckless driving, failing to reduce speed to avoid a crash, improperly using a registration and driving an uninsured vehicle.
About 4 p.m. July 24, police were called to a crash near Oak and 55th streets, where a vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a tree, according to a police report. A witness told police two vehicles appeared to be racing when Abdeldeen lost control of his vehicle and crashed.

Abdeldeen was released and given a date to appear in court.
