Man Hit With Baseball Bat In Hinsdale: Police Reports

Hinsdale Police reports through July 17.

The following items were taken from the Hinsdale police blotter. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Theft

  • Packages were stolen from a lobby in Spinning Wheel Apartments at 3:12 p.m. July 10. The suspects were described as a black male, 5'7", 150 pounds and a black female, 6'0", 210 pounds. Victim reported his diabetic testing kit, valued at $15.80, was delivered and missing.

Reckless Conduct

  • A man was struck in the head while he was a passenger in a car traveling westbound on 55th Street near Monroe at 8:20 p.m. July 11. Police located pieces of a baseball bat and a racquet handle in the roadway near the incident. Victim was transported to the emergency room for treatment of the wound on his forehead.

Hit and Run

  • A witness saw a white work van hit two mailboxes and leave the scene at 5:45 p.m. July 12 at 55th and Oak streets.

Burglary To Vehicle

  • A purse was stolen from under a car seat in in the 500 block of West Hinsdale Avenue sometime between 6 and 7:45 p.m. July 14. The victim reported the doors were locked and windows were down slightly. Items missing were a purse valued at $500, a tablet valued at $300, cell phone valued at $100, prescription medication and $150.
