Metra Schedule Changes Would Impact Hinsdale Commuters
Proposed changes to the Burlington Northern Sante Fe Metra schedule would impact Hinsdale commuters, the village said.

HINSDALE, IL — Proposed changes to the Burlington Northern Sante Fe Metra schedule would impact Hinsdale commuters, according to a release from the village. The Highlands, Hinsdale and West Hinsdale stations would all have changes due to the proposed schedule.
BNSF and the village are asking for feedback regarding the changes, and comments will be accepted until April 15. The village said Metra hopes to implement the new schedule in June or July.
Some changes for the Hinsdale station would include an in-bound express with two stops leaving at 4:54 a.m. (current train leaves at 5:07 a.m.). The next express would be at 6:45 a.m. and arrive in Chicago at 7:08 a.m. (the current train leaves at 6:50 a.m. and arrives at 7:12 a.m.). Other trains besides the express line are also impacted.
