Money Raised For Hinsdale Central Principal's Son
The principal's son fell, but a disease he suffers prevents traditional surgery to treat bone fractures, according to a GoFundMe page.

HINSDALE, IL – Earlier this week, an online fundraising campaign began for the son of Hinsdale Central High School's principal, Bill Walsh.
As of early Friday morning, $88,576 has been raised. The goal is $100,000.
According to a GoFundMe page, Walsh's son, Dylan Walsh, fell Nov. 20, suffering five different bone fractures.

Three of those fractures would usually be treated surgically, the page said. But because Dylan suffers from lymphangiomatosis and Gorham-Stout disease, he is unable to undergo surgical repair, according to the page, which was set up by Meaghan Walsh.
Dylan is in Lurie Children's Hospital.

"He has been placed in a lower body splint in order to help the bones heal in the best possible position," Meaghan said. "His road to recovery is shaping up to be far beyond anything he and our family have experienced to date."
The money being raised is for necessary home equipment to care for Dylan, Meaghan said. Any contribution will greatly impact the life of Dylan and ease the stress of Bill Walsh, his wife, Melissa Walsh, and their children, she said.
