Monroe School Celebrates International Peace Day

On September 21, Monroe School joined people around the world in celebrating the United Nations' International Day of Peace.

On Wednesday, September 21, Monroe School joined people around the world in celebrating the United Nations’ International Day of Peace. The event included a poetry reading by 5th grade students, a slide show of drawings representing what peace means to students in the school, and a performance by the school's chorus. The program concluded with the display of Monroe's traditional Peace Day giant canvas dove.
