'Newcomers & Neighbors' Group Plans Luncheon
Residents of a few of Chicago's near west suburbs are invited to learn more about the Newcomers & Neighbors of the Greater Hinsdale Area.

HINSDALE, IL — New residents of a few of Chicago's near west suburbs are invited to a luncheon for a group that plans an array of activities and events in the area. The "Newcomers & Neighbors of the Greater Hinsdale Area" will hold its fall luncheon on Friday, Sept. 6 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Fourteensixteen Restaurant, 14 W. Calendar Ave. in La Grange. There people will learn about all of what the group does, which includes organizing book clubs, lunch bunch and chick flicks as well as happy hour, euchre and men's poker nights according to a news release from the group.
“If you have been looking for fun new ways to meet people in the area, Newcomers & Neighbors is a great way to make connections,” said Phyllis Young, president of the group. “Whether you are new to town or a long-time resident, Newcomers & Neighbors is a club that creates opportunities to get together with people who have similar interests by providing socials, activities, clubs and sports on a regular basis.”
The group is open to residents of Hinsdale, Burr Ridge, Oak Brook, Clarendon Hills and Westmont.
