Nine Teenagers Charged with Alcohol Possession

Nine 17-year-olds were charged July 17 with possession of alcohol by person under 21 in the 700 block of West 8th Street, according to Hinsdale police.

Police went to investigate a trespass of property. Neighbors told a homeowner that several juveniles entered his house.

Police found open cans of alcohol, drug paraphernalia and a substance that field tested positive for cannabis.

Six of the teenagers are boys and three were girls. Three are from Clarendon Hills, four are from Hinsdale, one is from Elmhurst, one is from Oak Brook.

One teenager was also charged with drug paraphernalia possession, and one was charged with allowing persons under 21 to gather to consume alcohol.

The teenagers were charged, referred to peer jury and released to parents.
