Nurse's Purse Stolen From Unlocked Drawer At Hinsdale Hospital

The nurse told police a fraudulent charge for more than $500 was made on her debit card shortly after.

HINSDALE, IL — A nurse at AMITA Health Adventist Medical Center Hinsdale is reporting a loss of more than $500 after she told police her purse was stolen during one of her work shifts last week. The nurse said someone stole the purse from an unlocked desk drawer sometime between 6 a.m. and 12:57 p.m. on Aug. 2.

She said the purse contained about $200 in cash, her identification card, a debit card and her car keys. The victim later said a fraudulent charge for $504.94 was made on her debit card.

Hinsdale police have not released information on an arrest in the case, which they have listed as pending.
