Oak Brook House Fire Displaces Family of Seven
No one was injured in the Thursday morning fire that caused $400,000 in structure damage.

A two-story house fire early Thursday caused $400,000 in structure damage and left an Oak Brook family of seven without shelter.
The family evacuated the home in the 100 block of Saddle Brook Road and called 911, according to the Oak Brook Fire Department. No one was injured.
Oak Brook firefighters received the call around 12:22 a.m., and they arrived to find flames burning the home’s second floor and roof.

The blaze was under control by 1:30 a.m., but the house was left uninhabitable, and some areas around the house were also burned.
Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the fire. Contents of the home worth $10,000 were also lost, the fire department reported.

Firefighters from Downers Grove, Westmont, Elmhurst, Western Springs, Berkley, Hinsdale, Lombard, Clarendon Hills, York Center, Oakbrook Terrace, Brookfield, Broadview, Addison and Pleasantview also aided at the scene.
