DUI

Richard Czerwien, 34, of Oak Lawn was charged with aggravated DUI, DUI-alcohol, driving while license revoked and speeding when stopped at Ogden Avenue and I-294 at 11:24 p.m. on Sept. 16.

Theft

A victim reported that an unknown suspect stole $30 from her purse sometime between Sept. 13 at 6 p.m. and Sept. 17 at 11:29 a.m. at Manor Care, 600 W. Ogden Ave. The victim said the purse was left unattended in a drawer locked inside her room for periods at a time.

A victim in the 200 block of North Washington Street reported that two packages were stolen from her front porch on Sept. 16. The victim observed an unknown suspect driving a red Ford pickup truck exit the truck and take the packages off her porch. The suspect was described as a white male wearing khaki pants, a white shirt and a gray baseball cap. Packages were valued at $47 and $135.

Obstructing Justice

A suspect who was stopped for speeding in the 100 block of East Ogden Avenue at 10:01 p.m. on Sept. 17 gave false information to police and an arrest warrant has been issued by the DuPage County State's Attorney's Office.

Burglary

A victim returned home to the 200 block of North Garfield Avenue and discovered that his home was burglarized sometime between 11:30 a.m. and 1:20 p.m. on Sept. 18. AN unknown suspect removed a window screen and opened a window to gain entry to the house. The victim reported that drawers and a jewelry box were opened and rummaged through.

Criminal Damage To Property

A victim reported that an unknown suspect keyed his vehicle sometime between midnight and 10 a.m. on Sept. 19. The victim reported that the vehicle was parked in a reserved parking spot.

Identity Theft

An unknown suspect used a victim’s identity to purchase a bobcat in the amount of $28,774 on Sept. 12.

Burglary To Vehicle

An unknown suspect entered two unlocked vehicles parked in driveways in the 800 block of South Grant Street were rummaged through and approximately $20 in loose change was reported missing sometime between 12:10 a.m. and 12:47 a.m. on Sept. 22.

An unknown suspect entered two unlocked vehicles in the 10 block of Ulm Place and two unlocked vehicles in the driveway in the 600 block of South Garfield sometime between 11 p.m. on Sept. 21 and 8:45 a.m. on Sept. 22. A pouch containing the owner’s manual and registration card was reported missing.
