Old Clarendon Hills Bar Site May Be Redeveloped
A developer may submit a plan for the property, an official said.

CLARENDON HILLS, IL – The old Tracy's Tavern building has been demolished, and the village reports that a developer is interested in the site.
The property is at the southwest corner of 55th Street and Western Avenue.
A couple of years ago, the Village Board rejected a developer's plan for a drive-thru at a planned Dunkin' Donuts on the land in question. The developer then abandoned the plan.

At this week's Village Board meeting, Ed Cage, the village's community development director, said he has met with a developer about the Tracy's property. The planning is in the "very preliminary stages," Cage said.
He said he expected the developer to submit a plan during the summer.

"I know there's a lot of interest in that area," Cage said.
Property owners within 250 feet would be notified of the application and a sign would be posted on the site to advertise any public hearings, he said.
He gave the information after a resident asked about the property at the meeting.
Since 2022, the village said it has identified code violations on the property.
