Opera Lecture at Clarendon Hills Library

The story of Cinderella as opera

Seasoned opera fans and newbies alike will learn something new about the well-known story of Cinderella on Monday, October 5th at 7 pm when the Clarendon Hills Library welcomes opera expert Charlie DeWitt to discuss the variation of this familiar tale that was set to music by composer Gioachino Rossini in the opera La Cenerentola. The presentation will include a look at the composer, the story and its history, and recorded musical excerpts.
