Package Stolen, DUIs: Hinsdale Arrests

Hinsdale Police reports through June 26.

The following items were taken from the Hinsdale police blotter. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

DUI

  • Samuel Romero Patino, 34, of Lyons, was arrested at 1:10 a.m. June 24 at Ogden Avenue and Elm Street for DUI-alcohol and improper lane use.
  • James Michalik, 53, of Clarendon Hills, was arrested at 1:20 a.m. June 23 at 57th Street and County Line Road for DUI-alcohol and speeding.

Fraud

  • The victim received a fraudulent email claiming to be her real estate attorney on June 22. The victim was in the process of buying a house and was instructed to wire $63,500. After sending the money, victim was advised of the fraud.

Burglary To Vehicle

  • An unknown suspect entered two unlocked cars in a driveway in the 700 block of South Stough at 1:37 a.m. June 25. $40-$60 was stolen from the cars.

  • Victim reported an unknown suspect in a silver SUV left the scene of an accident at 55th and Madison streets at 3:02 p.m. June 21.

Residential Burglary

  • A man stole a package delivered to the lobby of 0-100 block of Spinning Wheel Road sometime between 9:39 a.m. and 2:12 p.m. June 19. The suspect was described as a black male, wearing a dark-colored T-shirt, blue jeans and carrying cleaning supplies.
