Patch Picks: Five Nail Salons

1. , 106 Burr Ridge Parkway, Burr Ridge

Alexa Day Spa has been open in Burr Ridge for over ten years. Owner Alexandra Beredimas, who came to the United States from Greece in 1985, worked for Mario Tricoci before opening her own salon. The salon offers a variety of nail care services, including a $10 Teen Manicure. 

2. , Burr Ridge Village Center

Kohler's nail services include such luxurious treatments as a Milk Bath Manicure (featuring an almond-infused scrub and a milky nail soak) and a Chardonnay Pedicure (an exfoliation with a chardonnay-infused scrub followed by a complimentary wine tasting at ). 3. , 410 Chestnut St., Hinsdale

One of Hinsdale's newer businesses, Mani & Pedi is open Monday through Saturday. The salon accommodates walk-ins, but because Mani & Pedi is usually busy, they recommend making an appointment. In addition to nail services, Mani & Pedi also offers a variety of waxing treatments. 

4. Splendor, 18 West First St., Hinsdale

Splendor is a salon dedicated solely to nail care. Its services include a "Duet" (manicure and pedicure) for $75, $15 manicures for girls ten years and younger, and men's manicures ($28) and pedicures ($55). Splendor also offers gift certificates, and the front of the shop sells boutique items such as jewelry and flip flops. 

5. , 10 E. Hinsdale Ave., Hinsdale

This salon is located right across the street from the Hinsdale Metra station. Besides nail care, the salon also offers eyebrow waxing and foot massages. Walk-ins are welcome, and the salon is open Monday through Saturday.
