Pedestrian Dies After Clarendon Hills Crash: Police

The man was taken to the hospital, where he died from his injuries, authorities said.

CLARENDON HILLS, IL – A 30-year-old man died after he was hit by a car early Thursday morning on Route 83, Clarendon Hills police said.

About 4:45 a.m., the man was either walking or standing in the left travel lane of Route 83 at the 55th Street bridge when he was struck by the car, according to a police news release.

He was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, where he died of his injuries, police said.

The crash is being investigated by Clarendon Hills police and a DuPage County crash reconstruction team.

Police said they had no more information to release because the investigation continues.
