Police Investigating Incident at Whitlock Park Women's Bathroom
A woman saw a suspicious person she believed to be a man peeking through a crack in a stall door.

Police are investigating a May 12 incident in which a woman reported a suspicious man inside the women’s bathroom at Whitlock Park on 40th Street, Downers Grove
The woman told police she went into the bathroom around 7:44 p.m. and saw a person she believed to be a man standing behind a stall door, peeking out through the crack of the door, according to Downers Grove police.
The woman left the bathroom and waited outside for the person to leave, and she saw a young girl leave the bathroom. Another woman came to the bathroom, and she and the first woman went into the bathroom and saw the suspicious person was still there.

The women left the bathroom and called the police. Arriving officers did not find anyone in the bathroom.
Police do not know if there was any contact between the suspicious person and the child.

The woman told police the suspicious person was wearing khaki pants and black gym shoes with black soles and black laces.
Patrols have increased at all parks, and the police department is reminding parents to review “stranger danger practices” with children.
