Political Banner Stolen In Hinsdale Neighborhood

In recent days, Hinsdale police arrested two people on DUI charges.

HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale police released their latest blotter Tuesday. Here is information from the reports:

Theft

  • Two suspects were seen on surveillance footage stealing a political banner about 9 p.m. Friday from the front porch of a house in the 100 block of North Lincoln Street. Police did not identify the message on the banner. In 2020, a Patch public records request showed that the damage and theft of signs in Hinsdale was a bipartisan issue.

DUI

  • A 37-year-old Chicago man was arrested about 12:30 a.m. Saturday in the 5500 block of South Grant Street on charges of DUI, driving with a suspended license, improper lane use, illegal flashing light and having a turn signal that is not visible for 300 feet. The man refused testing to determine his blood-alcohol content. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • A 34-year-old Ottawa woman was arrested about 1:30 a.m. Sunday at Ogden Avenue and Route 83 on charges of improper lane use, driving without a license plate light and failing to signal when changing lanes. She submitted to testing that indicated she was over the legal limit. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
