Possession Of Cannabis Plant, Car Burglaries: Hinsdale Blotter

Hinsdale Police reports through Sept. 12.

The following items were taken from the Hinsdale police blotter. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Theft

  • $700 was reported missing from a dresser drawer after a moving company moved the victim's belongings in the 600 block of Phillippa sometime between 10:30 a.m. Aug. 30 and 9 a.m. Sept. 2.
  • A saw, toolbox and a chisel hammer were stolen out of an unlocked landscaping trailer in the 200 block of East Sixth Street at 3:30 p.m. Sept. 11. The total loss is $1,400.

Domestic Battery

  • Michael Schmitt, 56, of the 600 block of North County Line Road, was arrested at 3:05 p.m. Sept. 4 in the 600 block of County Line for domestic battery after making contact of an insulting or provoking nature with a female family member. He was transferred to Cook County Sheriff’s custody.

Burglary To Vehicle

  • A laptop was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 100 block of East Seventh sometime between 10 p.m. Sept. 5 and 10 a.m. Sept. 6.
  • A coin purse with $20 in coins and an auxiliary coin were stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 400 block of Ravine sometime between 11 p.m. Sept. 9 and 11:07 a.m. Sept. 10.

  • Jeffrey Henrich, 31, of the 600 block of West Hinsdale Avenue, was charged with a class A misdemeanor of possession of cannabis sativa plant at 8:36 p.m. Sept. 5 in the 600 block of Hinsdale. Police were dispatched to a report of a subject refusing to leave a residence, and officers located a suspected cannabis plant inside the house. A bud from the plant field tested positive for cannabis.

DUI

  • Randall Enders, 42, of the 300 block of North Elm, was arrested at 12:51 a.m. Sept. 8 at Eighth Place and Madison for DUI-alcohol and improper lane use.
  • Dusan Colakovic, 54, Clarendon Hills, was arrested at 12:50 a.m. Sept. 8 at Homes and Carlysle for DUI-alcohol and improper lane use.
